Permanently ceased pursuit of Federal 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity status based on our strict principles of self-government, our respect for the privacy of our donors and applicants, and our right to freedom of speech.
Retained State nonprofit status.
August 24, 2004
Our first Big Check was printed for photo-ops by Signs of the Times in Exeter, NH, which donated three name templates for the check.
July 30, 2004
The LSF is legally recognized as a New Hampshire nonprofit corporation headed by five talented and experienced Board members.
Applied for Federal 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity status.
Long-term Endowment Fund established.

First three scholarship recipients chosen.
June 25, 2004
At the first annual NHLA Liberty Dinner, Michelle Dumas introduced the Liberty Scholarship Fund and other NHLA Civic Action programs to a sold-out audience. Her remarks can be read here: LSF Introduction by Michelle Dumas.
A silent auction fundraiser for the LSF is held at the Liberty Dinner. Generous donations pour in from businesses all over New Hampshire.

First scholarship application received.

The Liberty Scholarship Fund is co-founded by Michael Fisher of Newmarket, Dawn Lincoln of Winchester, and Michelle Dumas of Somersworth. The LSF was also co-founded by the Civic Action Department of the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance (NHLA). Fundraising begins.
